HIKARIKINTSUGI Kintsugi Lotus Chawan Bowl – Ocean Kiln-Glazed Handmade Ceramic Art, Gold Tree Motif, Wabi-Sabi Decorative Zen Bowl, Symbol of Rebirth & Transformation (12 x 7 cm)
The HIKARIKINTSUGI Kintsugi Lotus Chawan Bowl is a handcrafted ceramic artwork inspired by the organic form of a blooming lotus. Its sculpted petal-shaped rim creates a graceful, open silhouette, while the deep ocean blue reactive glaze shifts through shades of navy, teal, and subtle green, framed by warm brown tones along the edges.
The bowl has been restored by hand using the Kintsugi method. Gold-toned restoration follows the natural fractures across the ceramic surface, while an expressive branching tree motif extends across the exterior. Together, the restored lines and tree-like details create a composition that evokes growth, renewal, and life emerging through change.
Kintsugi Art & Wabi-Sabi Philosophy
Kintsugi embraces imperfections as part of an object's history rather than something to conceal. The visible restoration represents resilience, renewal, and transformation.
The lotus form carries its own symbolism of rebirth and growth, while the branching gold-toned motif suggests new life continuing to emerge. Combined with the naturally varied kiln-fired glaze and irregular restoration lines, the piece reflects the Wabi-Sabi appreciation for authenticity, impermanence, and imperfect beauty.

FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
Are the products pre-made?
Not exactly. I complete approximately 80% of the production process in advance. Once an order is placed, I complete the remaining steps and prepare the product for shipment, so you do not have to wait too long for your order.
How long will it take to receive my order after payment is successfully completed?
It takes approximately 5–7 days to complete the final steps of the production process and carefully package your order. Your tracking number will usually be added to your order within about 3 days.
After that, delivery typically takes another 8–10 days. In total, you can expect to receive your order in approximately 2 weeks from the date of purchase.
Why does my tracking number show only “Shipping Label Created” for a while?
Typically, I add your tracking number to the order after approximately 3 days. It may then take another 1–2 days before the package is handed over for shipment.
Your order is shipped from Vietnam to a processing facility in the United States, which usually takes around 7 days. Once the package arrives at the U.S. facility and the shipping label is scanned, it will enter the domestic shipping network. At that point, you will be able to see the tracking updates and follow the progress of your delivery.
Will my product look exactly like the photos?
The piece shown in the photos is the first piece of its kind, and because each product is individually handcrafted, no two pieces will ever be exactly the same. Your product will follow the same Kintsugi style and artistic approach, but the natural cracks, patterns, and details will be unique to each piece.
During the final finishing process, I may make small adjustments or add or remove certain decorative details when necessary to create a more beautiful and balanced result. This may include subtle painted details or patterns. However, the cracks themselves will always come from real broken pieces that have been carefully reassembled, rather than artificially created patterns.
Can I request changes or customize my product?
Because each piece is created according to its natural breaks, fully customized designs can be difficult to achieve. However, if you would like your piece to have more broken sections or more visible Kintsugi gold lines, I would be happy to accommodate your preference whenever possible.
Simply send me a message or leave a note with your order, and I will do my best to create a piece that reflects your preference while preserving the natural character of the Kintsugi process.
