HIKARIKINTSUGI Ivory White Cat Kintsugi Matcha Chawan – Handcrafted Ceramic Tea Bowl with Gold Restoration, Floral Cat Motif & Wabi-Sabi Art (13 × 7.5 cm)
The HIKARIKINTSUGI Ivory White Cat Kintsugi Matcha Chawan is a handcrafted ceramic tea bowl featuring a warm ivory-white glaze, a softly speckled surface, and playful hand-painted cat and floral motifs. Deep blue, pink, red, yellow, and green details bring character to the exterior, while the gently irregular rim and small pouring lip emphasize the handmade nature of the piece.
The bowl has been restored by hand using the Kintsugi method. Gold-toned restoration follows the natural fractures across both the interior and exterior, reconnecting the broken ceramic sections while allowing the original painted decoration to remain visible. Because the restoration follows the actual break pattern, every finished bowl develops its own individual arrangement of gold lines.
Kintsugi Art & Wabi-Sabi Philosophy
Kintsugi embraces breakage as part of an object's history rather than something to conceal. The visible restoration transforms the fractures into an intentional part of the artwork, representing resilience, renewal, and transformation.
Combined with the warm ivory glaze, hand-painted decoration, and naturally irregular ceramic form, the bowl reflects the Wabi-Sabi appreciation for imperfection, individuality, and beauty shaped through time and change.

Note
Each bowl is individually kiln-fired, decorated, broken, and restored by hand. Variations in glaze tone, painted details, fracture patterns, and gold-toned restoration lines are natural characteristics of the handmade process.
This design is not a limited one-of-a-kind model and may be made again in the same overall style. However, because every fracture occurs naturally, the exact Kintsugi pattern of each finished bowl will be different.
Because each piece is finished by hand, the actual dimensions may vary by approximately 0–0.5 cm from the stated measurements.

FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
Are the products pre-made?
Not exactly. I complete approximately 80% of the production process in advance. Once an order is placed, I complete the remaining steps and prepare the product for shipment, so you do not have to wait too long for your order.
How long will it take to receive my order after payment is successfully completed?
It takes approximately 5–7 days to complete the final steps of the production process and carefully package your order. Your tracking number will usually be added to your order within about 3 days.
After that, delivery typically takes another 8–10 days. In total, you can expect to receive your order in approximately 2 weeks from the date of purchase.
Why does my tracking number show only “Shipping Label Created” for a while?
Typically, I add your tracking number to the order after approximately 3 days. It may then take another 1–2 days before the package is handed over for shipment.
Your order is shipped from Vietnam to a processing facility in the United States, which usually takes around 7 days. Once the package arrives at the U.S. facility and the shipping label is scanned, it will enter the domestic shipping network. At that point, you will be able to see the tracking updates and follow the progress of your delivery.
Will my product look exactly like the photos?
The piece shown in the photos is the first piece of its kind, and because each product is individually handcrafted, no two pieces will ever be exactly the same. Your product will follow the same Kintsugi style and artistic approach, but the natural cracks, patterns, and details will be unique to each piece.
During the final finishing process, I may make small adjustments or add or remove certain decorative details when necessary to create a more beautiful and balanced result. This may include subtle painted details or patterns. However, the cracks themselves will always come from real broken pieces that have been carefully reassembled, rather than artificially created patterns.
Can I request changes or customize my product?
Because each piece is created according to its natural breaks, fully customized designs can be difficult to achieve. However, if you would like your piece to have more broken sections or more visible Kintsugi gold lines, I would be happy to accommodate your preference whenever possible.
Simply send me a message or leave a note with your order, and I will do my best to create a piece that reflects your preference while preserving the natural character of the Kintsugi process.
